Iran disputes Qatar, Kuwait accounts of captured Iranian personnel, demands to investigate in Qatar

Iranian military officials have requested that Qatar permit an investigative team to enter the country to determine the status of Iranian personnel allegedly captured by Qatari forces. Tehran maintains that the individuals are pilots who were detained during operations, while conflicting accounts have emerged regarding the circumstances of their presence in the region.

Previous reports from Iran indicated that four individuals affiliated with the Revolutionary Guards were on a maritime patrol in May when they entered Kuwaiti territorial waters due to navigation disruptions. The current dispute highlights a lack of consensus between Iran, Qatar, and Kuwait regarding the identity, location, and capture of the personnel in question.
