Iran’s Araghchi slams France, other Western nations ‘hypocrisy’ over human rights

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi publicly criticized France and other Western nations on Thursday, accusing them of hypocrisy regarding human rights and international law. Araghchi specifically targeted these countries for their continued support of Israel, characterizing their stance as inconsistent with the values they promote on the global stage.

In his remarks, Araghchi condemned the backing of Israel’s actions in Gaza and its aggression toward Iran. He argued that this support has undermined the credibility of Western nations, suggesting that countries like France should refrain from lecturing others on human rights issues while maintaining their current foreign policy positions.
