Israeli rights group calls for independent health examination of Gaza doctor

The Israeli rights group Physicians for Human Rights Israel (PHRI) has petitioned an administrative court to demand an independent health examination for detained Palestinian doctor Hussam Abu Safiya.

The organization is urging the Israeli prison system to permit an outside physician to assess Abu Safiya's medical condition while in detention.
