NewzKINGSTON, Jamaica — The Island Traffic Authority (ITA) is advising members of the public that its Morant Bay Service Hub in St Thomas will be closed to the public on Thursday, September 24, 2026, due to a planned interruption in electricity supply. According to the ITA in a press release, the Jamaica Public Service (JPS) has advised that the area will experience an interruption in electricity supply while linework is being undertaken. As a result, the authority said its service hub will not be open to the public during this period, and customers who require ITA services are advised to visit neighbouring ITA service hubs in other parishes.
Full service at the location is scheduled to resume on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 8:30 am. The ITA apologised for any inconvenience caused and said it appreciates the public's understanding and cooperation as the necessary work is undertaken.
