Kulgam terror attack: Kharge claims labourers were asked to 'identify' before being shot

Two labourers from Chhattisgarh were killed in a terror attack at a brick kiln in Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir. One victim, identified as Deepak Ratray, died before he could be transported to a medical facility. The second victim, Bopinder, was initially admitted to the Government Medical College in Anantnag before being transferred to SKIMS Hospital in Soura, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Following the incident, Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge alleged that the attackers questioned the labourers about their caste and community before opening fire. These reports of targeted questioning have drawn comparisons to survivor accounts from a previous terror attack in Pahalgam. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
