The Jakarta East Jakarta City Government (Pemkot Jakarta Timur) is maximizing local water retention capacity in preparation for the rainy season. This effort is being executed through a targeted desilting and mud-clearing campaign, known locally as "grebek lumpur," focused on the Phb channel.

The initiative forms part of regional preparations to mitigate seasonal flooding risks by ensuring drainage systems and water reservoirs are operating at maximum capacity.
