GEORGETOWN, Guyana — Jamaicans Daniel Hylton and Toriano Nicholas have successfully made weight ahead of their respective bouts at the Caribbean Boxing Organization’s Caribbean Boxing Showdown 2.0. According to a release, Hylton, a rising lightweight prospect, weighed 136.4 lbs, while his Guyanese opponent, Septon Barton, weighed 135.4 lbs. The bout, Hylton’s third as a professional, is scheduled as the opening contest of the card on Saturday, September 12, at 6:00 pm at the Clifford Anderson Sports Hall in Georgetown.
Nicholas also made weight for his junior welterweight bout, tipping the scales at 137.8 lbs. His Guyanese opponent, Joel Williamson, weighed 138.4 lbs. Both Jamaican fighters are set to represent the country at the event.
