How to verify and upload O’Level results from home without visiting CBT centres

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has introduced an online system allowing candidates seeking admission into Nigerian tertiary institutions through the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, to verify and upload their O’Level results without visiting Computer-Based Test, CBT, centres. The new service initially covers results issued by the West African Examinations Council, WAEC, and is designed to reduce candidates’ dependence on CBT centres, especially during periods of high patronage. JAMB said the system will electronically verify candidates’ results directly with examination bodies before uploading them to their profiles.

In a statement on Monday by its Acting Director, Public Affairs and Protocol, Dr Fabian Benjamin, the Board said the initiative would make the process easier, faster and safer while reducing errors associated with manual uploads. According to JAMB, the system will also help prevent the submission of fraudulent or unverified results, misplaced certificates and mistakes in entering subjects and grades. How to verify your O’Level result Candidates are required to first obtain a Result Verification Code through the designated result verification portal.

To begin the process, candidates should: Provide their National Identification Number (NIN). Select the number of O’Level sittings. Select the relevant examination body or bodies.

Provide their email address and GSM number. Make payment through the available payment gateway. Enter their examination number, examination series and examination year.

After successful verification, JAMB will issue the candidate a Verification Code. Candidates must then send “VERIFY” followed by the Verification Code to 55019 or 66019. JAMB said candidates will receive a notification confirming the verification and subsequent submission of the result.

How to upload the verified result Candidates with two O’Level sittings should log into their JAMB e-Facility dashboard and select “2026 UTME O’Level Upload.” They should enter their Verification Code, after which their two verified results will be displayed. Candidates can then select the required subjects and grades. JAMB said candidates must select a minimum of five and a maximum of nine subjects, with no subject selected more than once.
