Japan executes man convicted of killing five in pachinko fire

Japan has executed a man convicted of killing five people in a 2009 arson attack on a pachinko parlour in Osaka. The execution was carried out by hanging.

The capital punishment marks the first execution carried out under the government of Sanae Takaichi.
