Jazz Aviation flight attendants vote in favour of strike mandate

More than 1,000 flight attendants employed by Jazz Aviation have voted overwhelmingly in favour of a strike mandate. The vote, conducted by the Canadian Flight Attendant Union, concluded with 99 per cent of participating members supporting the mandate.

The strike authorization follows months of ongoing contract negotiations between the union and the airline. With the mandate now secured, flight attendants are positioned to take job action if a resolution cannot be reached at the bargaining table.
