JD(U) expels Anant Singh for 6 years over 'anti-party activities'

The Janata Dal (United), or JD(U), has expelled Mokama MLA Anant Kumar Singh and former MLA Neelam Devi from the party for a period of six years. The disciplinary action was taken due to misconduct and anti-party activities.

Specifically, the expulsion stems from Singh’s actions during recent legislative elections, where he openly campaigned for and supported a rival candidate in direct violation of party directives and in opposition to the JD(U)'s official candidate.
