King Juan Carlos I presented his memoirs on Sunday in La Ferté-Vidame, France. He described the work as a final legacy to the Spanish people.

According to the presentation, the memoirs—alongside democratic institutions—have allowed him to live in peace over the past fifty years. During the event, the former monarch also admitted that his actions were "more reckless than prudent."
