Lawyer Juan Gonzalo Ospina is leaving active legal practice to become Colombia's ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg.

Criminal lawyer Juan Gonzalo Ospina has announced his departure from active legal practice in Spain to join Colombia's diplomatic service. He has been appointed to serve as Colombia's ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg.

In addition to his bilateral ambassadorial roles, Ospina will assume the position of head of mission to the European Union and NATO, operating out of a base in Brussels.
