Juan Manuel Méndez arrives at an Intrant full of challenges and obstacles

Juan Manuel Méndez García has assumed a new leadership role at the Instituto Nacional de Tránsito y Transporte Terrestre (Intrant) in the Dominican Republic, shifting his focus after 21 years leading the Centro de Operaciones de Emergencias (COE). His transition moves him from disaster management into the public administration sector.

In his new position, Méndez faces what is described as one of the country's most difficult public challenges: organizing land transport and public traffic.
