Central Electoral Board and the ban on polls

The Junta Central Electoral (JCE) in the Dominican Republic has provisionally lifted its own ban on publishing and broadcasting electoral polls outside of the legal pre-campaign and campaign periods. The restriction had previously prevented the dissemination of public opinion sondeos during non-campaign windows.

Despite the removal of the barrier, the decision does not fully resolve the ongoing controversy surrounding the regulation of electoral polling and its timing within the country's political landscape.
