Central Electoral Board and the ban on polls

The Central Electoral Board (JCE) in the Dominican Republic has issued a provisional decision to lift its restriction on the publication and dissemination of electoral polls. This regulation previously prohibited the release of survey data outside of designated pre-campaign and campaign periods.

While the JCE has removed this barrier, the move does not resolve the ongoing controversy surrounding the regulation of electoral polling. The situation remains subject to further debate as the legal framework for survey dissemination continues to be contested.
