Central Electoral Board and the ban on polls

The Junta Central Electoral (JCE) in the Dominican Republic has provisionally lifted its own restriction prohibiting the publication or diffusion of electoral polls outside of the legal pre-campaign and campaign periods.

Despite the temporary removal of this barrier, the decision has not fully resolved the ongoing controversy surrounding the regulation of electoral surveys outside official campaigning timeframes.
