Central Electoral Board and the ban on polls

The Junta Central Electoral (JCE) in the Dominican Republic has provisionally lifted its own restriction that prohibited the publication or broadcasting of electoral polls outside of the legal pre-campaign and campaign periods.

Despite this temporary reversal by the electoral body, the decision has not fully resolved the ongoing controversy surrounding the regulation of public opinion surveys during non-campaign timeframes.
