K20.2M Bena Bridge opens as Marape pushes Highlands toward SME and Farm Growth

Prime Minister James Marape officially opened the K20.2 million Bena Bridge in the Eastern Highlands province of Papua New Guinea. During the opening event, he urged local residents to leverage the government's multibillion-Kina investments in the Highlands Highway to boost agricultural and business activities.

Specifically, the Prime Minister called on the people of Bena and the wider Eastern Highlands to significantly increase their coffee production. In addition to agricultural expansion, Marape strongly encouraged locals to engage in small and medium enterprise (SME) ventures to drive regional economic growth in the Highlands.
