Pekanbaru was enveloped by haze, resulting in air quality classified as very unhealthy. The condition was detected and reported by the Pekanbaru Station of the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) in Riau Province.

The presence of the haze and the subsequent severe degradation of air quality pose significant environmental and public health concerns for the region.
