European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs Kaja Kallas stated that a recent Russian drone strike on a passenger train in Ukraine, occurring approximately two kilometers from the Polish border, was a deliberate attempt to intimidate Western nations. Kallas urged international partners to remain resolute and not allow the attack to weaken their support for Kyiv.

The incident, which took place near the border with Poland, is being interpreted by EU leadership as a strategic maneuver by Russia to discourage Western involvement in the conflict. Kallas emphasized the importance of maintaining a unified stance against such provocations to ensure continued assistance to Ukraine.
