Kidnapped rare Serbian eagle freed into wild after rescue

Feliks, a rare Serbian eagle, has been successfully freed back into the wild following a rescue operation. The bird of prey was originally abducted as it first attempted to fly the nest in Serbia.

Following its disappearance, the eagle wound up in the Middle East in the possession of poachers. The captors subsequently demanded a ransom for the rare animal's return before the rescue took place.
