Kigoma RC orders newly-appointed DCs to address land conflicts, illegal immigration

Kigoma Regional Commissioner Simon Sirro has sworn in newly appointed District Commissioners for the region in Tanzania. During the swearing-in ceremony, the Regional Commissioner issued official directives instructing the new officials to prioritize addressing persistent land conflicts within the area.

In addition to land disputes, the Regional Commissioner ordered the District Commissioners to take decisive action against illegal immigration. Both issues were highlighted as major challenges currently affecting the Kigoma region.
