Kosgei wins Great North Run but McColgan withdraws

Kenya's Brigid Kosgei has won the women's division at the Great North Run. The event also featured the men's race, which was won by American competitor Zouhair Talbi.

During the women's competition, British athlete Eilish McColgan was forced to withdraw from the race early due to an injury.
