Kyriakos Mitsotakis returns to morning swim in Chania one day after bicycle accident

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis returned to his routine on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, by taking a morning swim at Sosorides beach in Marathi, Chania.

The swim took place just one day after the Prime Minister suffered a bicycle fall that required a visit to the outpatient clinic of the Chania General Hospital for medical attention.
