L.A. County-based team of first responders heads to Panama after earthquakes

The Los Angeles County Fire Department's International Urban Search and Rescue Team has left for Panama to provide assistance in that country following a magnitude-7.7 earthquake. A team of Los Angeles County-based first responders are heading to Panama in the wake of powerful back-to-back earthquakes and subsequent aftershocks. County Fire Department said that their international search and rescue team, known as USA-02, was activated by the State Department to respond to Panama.
