The San Pedro to Miches highway still only exists in advertisements.

More than five years have passed since the initial announcement regarding the San Pedro to Miches highway project in the Dominican Republic. In June 2021, the then-Minister of Public Works, Deligne Ascención, stated that feasibility studies for the construction would begin the following year.

Despite the timeline previously outlined by the Ministry of Public Works, the infrastructure project remains unimplemented. According to available reports, the planned highway linking San Pedro de Macorís to Miches currently exists only as an announcement.
