La Corte no quiere recordar traumas en los juicios, valida la declaración de víctima en videograbación

On September 17, the Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación (SCJN) in Mexico determined that a victim's testimony can be incorporated into a new oral trial through a video recording. The ruling establishes that this method is permissible provided that the defense participated in the initial presentation of the evidence and had appropriate opportunities to engage with it.

The decision is framed around avoiding the re-traumatization of victims during judicial proceedings.
