Feijóo is convening the PP's Board of Directors this Monday, which will show a united front with Vivas for his management in Ceuta.

Alberto Núñez Feijóo, leader of Spain's Partido Popular (PP), has convened the party's National Board of Directors for Monday. The meeting is scheduled to feature a strong display of unity and backing for Juan Jesús Vivas, the president of Ceuta, in support of his governance and in criticism of what the party calls national government inaction.

The political meeting coincides with mounting social and migratory pressures in the autonomous city. The Independent Trade Union of Civil Servants (CSIF) has demanded the urgent creation of a new health center in Ceuta to manage a surge in healthcare demand driven by the arrival of thousands of migrants.

This strain follows a severe migratory crisis sparked by the entry of over 80,000 individuals from Morocco into Ceuta, leaving more than 10,000 migrants remaining in the city. The ongoing crisis has subsequently led to a significant increase in attempts by migrants to cross the Strait of Gibraltar toward the Spanish mainland.
