The Prosecutor's Office points to the Government delegate in Ceuta for the "omission of measures" that could have aggravated the consequences of the massive entry of migrants

The Public Prosecutor's Office in Ceuta has pointed to the potential responsibility of the Government Delegate in Ceuta, Miguel Ángel Pérez Triano, regarding his conduct and possible "decisions or omissions" during the mass entry of migrants on July 30. Authorities are examining whether a lack of prevention or the omission of measures may have aggravated the consequences of the migration crisis following complaints filed by organizations such as Manos Limpias and Hazte Oír.

In response to the situation, the prosecution supports forwarding the open investigative proceedings to the National Court, determining that it holds the appropriate jurisdiction to investigate the delegate's intervention. The inquiry aims to comprehensively assess whether actions taken or omitted by local leadership directly influenced the development and severity of the July events.
