The Prosecutor's Office records 16 sexual assaults with 17 victims, mostly minors, during the Ceuta crisis

During the migration crisis triggered by the mass entry of migrants into Ceuta from Morocco in late July, the State Attorney General's Office recorded 16 sexual assaults involving 17 victims. According to authorities, the vast majority of these victims were minors, and 16 of the 17 affected individuals were female.

The data was advanced by the prosecutor following the events, bringing official attention to the gender-based and youth vulnerabilities exposed amid the border situation in the autonomous Spanish city.
