The Melilla border "returns to normal" after the migration crisis and remains open in both directions

The border crossing of Beni-Enzar between Melilla and Morocco is fully operational and open in both directions for pedestrians and vehicles, including travelers participating in the Operation Paso del Estrecho. The Delegación del Gobierno en Melilla reported the return to regular conditions on Monday, following a period marked by a migration crisis and heightened tension.

During the prior crisis, restrictions such as vehicle passages limited to groups of twenty at a time were implemented. With these measures now lifted, the border has successfully recovered its operational normalcy, allowing unrestricted transit for all users.
