Fuel prices in Spain increased on Saturday, coinciding with the peak of the August holiday departure known as the "Operación Salida." The price hike brings gasoline costs up to levels last seen in March.

The increase follows the reduction of a special tax rebate on hydrocarbons, a fiscal adjustment linked to developments involving Iran.
