Simultaneously, in the center of Pereira, crowds erupted in cheers and applause as a young woman named Daniela Largo was pulled alive from the debris of a hotel.

The successful extraction of Largo occurred as dwindling hopes remained for finding further survivors in the areas impacted by the disaster. Her mother expressed overwhelming relief, stating that they had searched extensively for her. Both rescue events highlight the ongoing efforts by emergency responders to locate trapped victims across multiple cities in western Colombia following the seismic event.
