The judge who investigated Pedro Sánchez's brother requests to appear in the 'Leire Díez case' after learning of contacts with a clan from Badajoz to "remove her" and "destroy" the case

Magistrate Beatriz Biedma, who investigated and proposed trying David Sánchez—the brother of Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez—has officially requested to become a private prosecution party in the ongoing 'Leire Díez case'. The legal action follows the discovery of alleged contacts between a clan in Badajoz and the former PSOE militant Leire Díez, which were reportedly aimed at removing Biedma from her post and destroying the judicial case against David Sánchez.

In response to these developments, Biedma has decided to transfer the relevant judicial proceedings to the National Court (Audiencia Nacional). The case centers around a suspected coordinated plot involving Díez and external actors attempting to interfere with the integrity of the judicial investigation into the prime minister's brother.
