Around 5,000 evacuated and more than 50,000 families affected by the Bangkok floods

Heavy rainfall in Bangkok has resulted in the displacement of approximately 5,000 people to temporary shelters. The flooding, which has persisted for several days, has impacted over 50,000 families across the region. While rainfall began to subside on Sunday, floodwaters remain in various low-lying areas of the capital.

Beyond the immediate displacement in Bangkok, the broader weather event has had a significant impact across Thailand. Authorities report that at least eight people have died throughout the country over the past ten days as a result of the ongoing flooding conditions.
