The Venezuelan opposition thanked the European Union for its support in negotiations with the Chavista government.

Dinorah Figuera, leader of the opposition delegation backed by the United States, publicly expressed gratitude to the European Union on Friday for its support of the ongoing negotiation process with the Venezuelan government. The acknowledgment highlights the role of international involvement in the political dialogue between the opposition and the administration.

Separately, the Venezuelan Parliament enacted a legal reform aimed at expediting housing access and regulating construction activities following the June 24 earthquakes. The natural disaster resulted in approximately 6,500 fatalities and displaced more than 17,900 individuals, necessitating urgent legislative action to address the housing crisis.
