On September 14, 1923, the Polo Grounds in New York hosted a legendary heavyweight boxing match between champion Jack Dempsey and challenger Luis Ángel Firpo, an event historically commemorated as the "fight of the century" which now marks its 103rd anniversary.

During the encounter, one of the most extraordinary in boxing history, Dempsey knocked Firpo down seven times. However, the challenger also managed to knock the champion completely out of the ring, in a dramatic sequence where Dempsey nearly lost his crown.
