Police in Ceuta disperse groups of migrants trying to access the new temporary reception center

Spanish National Police have dispersed dozens of migrants attempting to access a newly established temporary reception facility in Ceuta. The new center, set up by the government on Sunday, is located near the former Los Rosales prison in the La Reina neighborhood.

This incident follows a period of heightened strain on local infrastructure stemming from a mass influx of migrants on July 30 and 31. In the aftermath of those arrivals, Ceuta's 112 emergency services have handled over 7,000 files and received more than 9,200 citizen calls alerting them to ongoing incidents.
