Police begin evicting the remaining migrants from Benítez beach in Ceuta for "security reasons"

The Spanish National Police have initiated an operation to relocate hundreds of migrants from a makeshift settlement at Benítez beach in Ceuta to the Temporary Center for the Attention of Foreigners (CATE) located in the Tarajal industrial warehouses. Authorities cited security concerns as the primary motivation for the clearing of the site, which is situated near the city's desalination plant.

During the course of the operation, a group of approximately 20 to 30 individuals managed to bypass the police cordon and depart from the area. The remaining migrants are being processed by officials for identification purposes at the CATE facility.
