La producción de cobre en Perú bajó 4,7 % en junio por menor extracción en el sur del país

Peru's copper production experienced a 4.7% decline in June compared to the same month in 2025. As the world's third-largest producer of the metal, the country's output was primarily impacted by reduced extraction activities in its southern regions.

Data indicates that the drop was driven by significant production decreases in Tacna, which saw a 24.3% reduction, and Cusco, which recorded a 16.5% decline. These regional shortfalls were the primary factors contributing to the national downturn in copper output for the period.
