Costa Rica's women's national team suffered a 4-0 defeat against North Korea in their second match of Group E at the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.

With this loss, following a previous defeat in their debut against Colombia, the Costa Rican side has been mathematically eliminated from advancing to the tournament's next round.
