Another heat wave hits several drought-stricken European countries

Europe is currently experiencing a new heatwave in early August, following record-breaking temperatures in July. This extreme weather occurs amidst a widespread drought that has caused major European rivers to drop to their lowest recorded levels, particularly affecting the western portion of the continent.

Simultaneously, Puerto Rico is facing one of its most severe water crises in a decade. The drought, which impacted approximately 60% of the territory by late July, has prompted the government to declare a state of emergency, deploy the National Guard, and implement water rationing measures.
