The EU continues its contacts with Morocco and appreciates its efforts with Spain to resolve the Ceuta crisis

The European Union is maintaining regular diplomatic contacts with Morocco one week following the migration crisis in Ceuta. Dubravka Suica, the European Commissioner for the Mediterranean, stated on Saturday that she remains in ongoing communication with Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita.

Brussels has acknowledged and thanked Morocco for its efforts in working with Spain to resolve the situation. According to European officials, efforts are actively continuing to control the circumstances surrounding the crisis.
