Violence against girls and adolescents

On July 30, the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons was commemorated to address the ongoing issue of violence against girls and adolescents. This year, international efforts are centered on identifying and combating modern recruitment tactics, which increasingly involve fraud, deception, and the exploitation of digital platforms.

In the Dominican Republic, the Procuraduría Especializada de Persecución al Delito contra la Trata is tasked with addressing these challenges. The focus remains on strengthening institutional responses to the evolving methods used by traffickers to target vulnerable youth.
