Ambulance transporting critical patient involved in Boyle Heights crash

A Mercedes and an ambulance transporting a patient collided in Boyle Heights on Wednesday, leaving a total of five patients involved. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a traffic collision involving a rescue ambulance that left several people injured, including three LAFD employees, in Boyle Heights on Wednesday afternoon. It happened at approximately 1:57 p.m.

Five total patients were identified on the scene, LAFD said.
