NewzBMC initiated a food waste management project in collaboration with Lalbaugcha Raja during the Ganpati festival. The leftover prasad was sent to a biomethanation plant for processing instead of being discarded. This initiative generated significant amounts of biogas and electricity for the TB Hospital.
The project's planning involved coordination with the mandal's kitchen committee for efficient waste collection. Various local hospitals also participated in processing organic waste from nearby hotels.
