The waters of the Mediterranean break their historical temperature record with highs exceeding 28 degrees

Surface waters across the Mediterranean Sea reached a historic temperature record of 28.54 degrees on August 13, according to an announcement by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).

The maximum temperature surpassed the 28-degree threshold, marking the highest temperature ever recorded for the aggregate waters of the region.
