Spanish swimmers Paula Otero, Clara Martínez de Salinas, and Candela Sánchez successfully advanced through the first round of the 3-kilometer eliminatory event at the European Championships in Paris. The trio secured their spots for the second round without difficulty, with Otero entering the competition as the reigning European silver medalist.

In the same event, Spanish swimmer Mateo García also progressed by finishing fourth in his qualifying heat. His performance earned him a place in the semifinals of the 3-kilometer eliminatory competition.
