Lawyer for China’s Zion Church seeks resettlement help while transiting through Taiwan

Ruth Wang, a partner at the Beijing-based firm VDoor Law, has fled China and is currently seeking assistance for resettlement while transiting through Taiwan. Wang previously served as a lawyer for the Zion Church, a prominent underground religious organization in Beijing.

Her departure follows a period of increasing pressure from Chinese authorities directed at her law firm and professional colleagues. Wang is currently working to secure a path for resettlement as she navigates her transit through Taiwan.
